EDION Corporation, one of Japan’s top home appliance retailers, needed a faster, more scalable core business management system to support multi-channel growth across more than 1,200 stores. The company also had to migrate 7 TB of data in under four hours, improve real-time transaction processing, and reduce IT costs while protecting sensitive customer information.

Oracle Exadata, together with Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Advanced Security, helped EDION build and migrate to a new core system with minimal disruption. The result was 42% faster order processing, a 63% reduction in IT operating costs, data migration completed in one hour, and reporting queries sped up by up to 15x, all while launching the new system nationwide within 11 months.
