Daito Trust Construction Gains Superior Performance for New Listings with Oracle

Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd., Japan’s second-largest construction and real estate management company, needed to speed up batch processing for its high-volume “E-heya-net” property portal and reduce delays caused by a legacy database server. The company also wanted to improve search performance during peak season, support nonstop operations, and make application changes without slowing listing cycles, working with Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database 12c.

Oracle Exadata, together with Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance, helped Daito Trust Construction process new property listings 24x faster, from 4 hours to under 10 minutes, and boost throughput to 120,000 properties per hour instead of 50,000. Oracle Exadata also helped cut batch processing to 35 minutes from 8 hours after adding a merging function, improve search response times, support 24/7 service, and reduce weekly backup time by more than 5x, from 17 hours to 3 hours.
