A Oracle Exadata Case Study
The Austrian Ministry of National Defense and Sport needed a flexible way to keep its IT teams current while maintaining autonomy over mission-critical systems and military secrecy. It worked with Oracle Exadata and Oracle University to support training for database administrators and application developers as it prepared for a hardware transition and needed to evaluate new platform options such as Oracle Exadata.
Oracle Exadata and Oracle University delivered a mix of Private Event sessions, Unlimited Learning Subscriptions, Classroom Training, and Learning Streams tailored to the Ministry’s needs. The Ministry deployed two half-rack Oracle Exadata Database Machines, replacing legacy hardware to improve database availability, application performance, and storage capacity; the result was a smoother rollout, better up-to-date skills across IT staff, and greater confidence in running critical systems.
