Aljomaih Automotive Company, the largest General Motors dealer in the Middle East, needed to replace aging, isolated server systems across major Saudi locations and improve the performance, availability, and scalability of its mission-critical Oracle ERP applications. The company also wanted to reduce downtime and speed up business processes while migrating its data and applications to a more secure platform. Oracle Exadata helped Aljomaih Automotive Company move from four end-of-life HP servers to a modern platform with no downtime, enough capacity for five years of growth, and a migration completed in just two days. The vendor delivered up to 8x faster data processing, cut end-to-end sales cycles by about 90%, and reduced senior management reporting from one day to just two to three minutes. Oracle Exadata and Oracle’s related services also improved inventory visibility for more than 9,000 parts worth around US$400 million and helped minimize business disruption during the rollout.
