VINCI Construction Grands Projets Advances Oncology Research with BIM and Aconex

VINCI Construction Grands Projets, part of VINCI Construction, was working on the National Research Oncology Center project in Astana, Kazakhstan, and needed a secure way to manage BIM information, documents, and communications across a team spread across five countries, languages, and time zones. The company faced challenges with access to current project data, version control, workflow reviews, and collaboration among teams with different levels of BIM maturity.

To address this, VINCI Construction Grands Projets implemented Oracle Construction and Engineering’s Aconex platform for cloud-based construction information and process management. Oracle Construction and Engineering helped enable seamless workflow and review management, easy browser-based model sharing and mark-up, automated document control, and better collaboration across the project team, resulting in reduced miscommunications, fewer version control issues, and time saved searching for current and historical project data.
