SAVETO Enhances Performance and Collaboration, Increases System Uptime Through Integrated Technology

Saudi Vetonit Company Ltd. (SAVETO), a leading dry-mix finishing materials manufacturer with 12 factories across the Middle East and North Africa, needed to improve companywide business processes by integrating real-time inventory, sales, and distribution data. The company also wanted greater ERP agility, higher performance and scalability, and improved database stability and hardware administration for its Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment.

Oracle Construction and Engineering helped SAVETO upgrade to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 and deploy Oracle Database with Real Application Clusters, Oracle WebLogic Server, SPARC T4-2 servers, and Oracle Solaris. The integrated Oracle solution increased uptime and scalability, enabled instant failover, reduced backup and restore time from three hours to one hour, improved cross-department collaboration, and allowed business users to make ERP adjustments faster without IT requests.
