Parsons Saves Estimated $5.5M on Technical Document Reviews on I-405

Parsons, working with Oracle Construction and Engineering, needed to manage a complex submittal review process for the I-405 project, coordinating thousands of reviewers across up to 30 organizations. The project also required extensive cross-organizational technical reviews, utility coordination, and control of thousands of documents using manual methods.

Oracle Construction and Engineering’s Aconex platform was used to create configurable workflows for submittals, cross-organization collaboration, and utility tracking, while automating document control. As a result, Parsons reduced technical document review cycles by one-third, with estimated savings of $5.5M, cut utility tracking manpower dramatically for an additional $860K in savings, and eliminated five document controller roles, saving $1.6M while also reducing contingency by $1.375M.
