DAVIS Construction, a large general contractor based in Rockville, Maryland, needed a better way to manage safety and quality inspections across projects like cityVista. The company wanted a consistent, web-based and mobile checklist system that would help inspectors coordinate with subcontractors, reduce oversight, and improve documentation of deficiencies and communications.

Oracle Construction and Engineering, using Oracle Latista Field Management Cloud Service with Motion tablet PCs, gave DAVIS a centralized field management solution for inspections, photos, reports, and communications. The result was faster issue tracking and resolution, clearer accountability, and the ability to handle about 50 walkthroughs a day with only four people. DAVIS then licensed the solution companywide to support quality and safety improvements on future projects.
