Daiwa House Industry Improves Daily Operations and Customer Service with 241x Faster Batch Processing

Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd., one of Japan’s largest housing and facility construction companies, needed a way to seamlessly migrate its cloud-based integrated business applications to an engineered system without major modifications. The company wanted to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce costs, and improve the performance of time-sensitive accounting, contract, customer management, and billing processes. Oracle Construction and Engineering’s Oracle Exadata Database Machine was the platform used to address these challenges.

Oracle Construction and Engineering, working with CTC, migrated Daiwa House Industry’s Oracle Database environment to Oracle Exadata in under six months, with minimal application changes. The result was a 241x speedup in batch processing, cutting daily batch jobs from 80 minutes to 20 seconds, along with 3x faster response times for business-critical tasks. The improved performance, reliability, and automation helped boost productivity, reduce delays, lower costs, and improve customer service.
