Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. partnered with Oracle Construction and Engineering to solve a major data integration challenge across its domestic headquarters and 10 overseas construction sites in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The company needed real-time access to critical enterprise data, stronger reliability in the face of network failures, and better support for its expanding global construction business. Oracle GoldenGate was the key product used.

Oracle Construction and Engineering implemented Oracle GoldenGate to provide real-time data replication and synchronization across disparate systems, enabling a global construction management system with consistent, up-to-date information. The solution helped Daewoo E&C achieve real-time financial closing instead of taking three weeks, reflect more than 30% of new overseas construction contracts in the system, improve IT productivity, and reduce data processing time by up to seven seconds per 1,000 transactions. It also strengthened disaster recovery and security, including immediate failover and encrypted credential management.
