Botswana Housing Corporation Boosts National Real Estate Development with Consolidated Enterprise Resource Planning System

Botswana Housing Corporation, a government-owned housing provider in Botswana, needed to replace a patchwork of stand-alone systems that slowed procurement, financial management, customer service, HR, and property operations. Working with Oracle Construction and Engineering, the organization sought a stable, secure, and flexible enterprise platform to better manage housing development, tenant-purchase schemes, rent collections, and maintenance services.

Oracle Construction and Engineering implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 on a single Oracle Database environment, supported by Oracle Linux and Oracle Active Data Guard. The new system consolidated data across finance, projects, HR, customer interactions, and real estate management, cut monthly financial close time from more than two weeks to just three to four days, reduced request-to-approval cycles by 5 to 10 days, improved debt collection and customer service, and helped Botswana Housing Corporation operate more efficiently while expanding housing stock.
