Al Yusr Industrial Contracting Co. (AYTB), a leading industrial services company in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, needed to eliminate unplanned downtime, improve data security, and boost the performance of its ERP environment. Its legacy hardware was causing compatibility and performance issues that affected critical operations across engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and payroll. Oracle Construction and Engineering provided the infrastructure foundation, including Oracle Database Appliance and Oracle E-Business Suite.

Oracle Construction and Engineering helped AYTB deploy Oracle Database Appliance in an active-active configuration with Oracle Active Data Guard and a disaster recovery site in Riyadh, while also using Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance and Oracle Premier Support. The result was more than a 90% increase in database and application performance, zero planned or unplanned downtime since implementation, and much faster payroll processing—cutting a process that once took up to eight days to a click of a button. The new platform also enabled faster rollout of new services, including mobile applications for field engineers.
