Cloud automation helps FedEx respond to changes 2X faster

FedEx, a global logistics leader, sought to build continuous innovation into its back-office finance and supply chain operations rather than undertake a one-time project. To achieve this, the company established a Digital Innovation Center of Excellence and required a large-scale move to a unified cloud platform to support both organic and acquired growth. This led them to choose Oracle Cloud applications and infrastructure.

By implementing a suite of more than 40 Oracle Cloud applications, including ERP, SCM, and Analytics, Oracle provided FedEx with a seamlessly integrated platform. The solution enabled FedEx to standardize over 220 operations and automate processes using digital assistants. The results included a 2X faster speed to market, significantly reduced manual effort, and the ability for over 3,000 employees to use advanced analytics for data-driven decisions. Oracle's platform also allowed FedEx to successfully virtualize its deployment model, enabling uninterrupted system rollouts during the COVID-19 crisis.
