A Oracle Aconex Case Study
The Royal Melbourne Hospital deployed Oracle Aconex’s Dynamic Manuals (part of the Aconex Handover suite) to manage mobile asset information for its US$228 million project in Melbourne. Before the solution, operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals existed as hard copies and CDs, were often incomplete or outdated, and staff spent hours searching paper drawings and binders to find asset data.
By moving O&M data to a secure cloud-based, tablet-friendly system with barcode/QR-code access, the hospital created an easy-to-navigate digital knowledge base that can be updated on site and during future projects. The change provides real-time asset information, fast targeted searches, up-to-date manuals protected from loss, and a seamless handover from construction to operations.
