Southern Cross Care puts people first with Aconex

Southern Cross Care, an owner-operator of aged-care and residential facilities in South Australia, used Aconex to manage two major projects: an 80-bed aged care facility in Mount Barker and a master‑plan redevelopment at Myrtle Bank (including aged care, apartments and heritage restoration). The organization needed tight owner-operator control to mitigate risk, secure management of information across a 140‑member multi‑company team, and a better alternative to cumbersome traditional O&M manuals.

Using the cloud‑based Aconex platform and Aconex Smart Manuals, all project documents, drawings, communications and workflows were version‑controlled and accessible from office or field sites, with in‑project production of digital O&M manuals. The result was a complete project snapshot for owner control, faster delivery, improved quality, reduced risk, and accurate, easy‑to‑manage digital O&M manuals.
