A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Skanska Property Poland’s Malta House is a Class A, LEED‑pre‑certified office complex in Poznań (US$32.2M, 15,700 m², 275 parking spaces) and represented Skanska’s first large‑scale BIM project. The project team needed to share complete multidimensional models (not just 2D drawings) and required fast, reliable collaboration; however, model deliveries were often late or missed and review/approval cycles were inefficient.
Skanska used a centralized collaboration platform delivered by Conject (acquired by Aconex in April 2016) to securely exchange BIM data, enable rapid user adoption with a simple UI and fast search, remove file‑size and email constraints, and notify stakeholders of changes. The platform grouped communications by activity for clear traceability, kept an automatic, up‑to‑date record of delivered models, enforced multi‑layered access security, and improved version control—reducing planning and execution errors and ensuring compliance with model submittal dates.
