A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Oracle Aconex supported Royal BAM Group PRO6 managers on a US$200 million waste-to-energy plant in Roosendaal, Netherlands — a state-of-the-art facility that converts 291,000 tons of waste into 246,000 MWh annually, supplying power to about 75,000 households and helping meet EU sustainability targets. The project had been hampered by a simple file‑sharing approach that left planning and information management gaps, causing supervision issues, miscommunication and increased risk on a tight schedule involving many organizations.
Aconex implemented a single, user‑friendly project information management platform to centralize documents, communications and reviews across regions, with PRO6’s requirements prioritized in the delivery. The platform eliminated many errors, provided performance analysis graphs to compare planned vs. actual progress and reveal trends, and gave participants predictable workflows, clear audit trails and efficient status reporting; the customer was also able to influence solution development to meet its needs.
