Pell Frischmann Designs a Better Water System on Aconex

Pell Frischmann led the redesign and reconstruction of water intake, treatment, transmission and distribution systems for the US$700 million Water Supply Sector Loan Project in Ninewa, Anbar and Salah El Din, Iraq. With design teams in Exeter, London, Baghdad and Mumbai and a client operating on unreliable IT, the firm faced slow, costly document exchanges, large file sizes and regional connectivity and security issues that threatened the project schedule.

Using Oracle Aconex, Pell Frischmann connected teams and project data on a secure cloud platform, eliminating complex installs and consolidating approvals, communications and workflows. The result was faster, more secure collaboration, easy handling of large revisable design files with access to current and historical versions, and the design phase completed on schedule—“Aconex saved us an enormous amount of hassles,” said Stewart Neal, Civil Engineer and Design Manager.
