Otary RS, a joint venture of eight companies, developed the Rentel offshore wind farm—a US$1.41 billion, 288 MW project in the North Sea covering 20 km² and located 40 km from shore in 30 m of water. With nearly 50 turbines and massive volumes of technical documentation, the remote site demanded close collaboration across partners but the team had no time, budget or staff for an in‑house solution and faced downtime risks with on‑premise systems.

Oracle Aconex delivered a SaaS collaboration platform with an intuitive mobile interface, version control, workflow management and project reporting. The result was a fast, secure cloud deployment that connected all partners on a single platform, reduced multiple document controllers to one, provided permanent storage and instant access to communications and documents, and enabled project‑wide reporting to keep stakeholders informed.
