Oger builds Abu Dhabi Financial Centre with Aconex

Oger used Oracle Aconex to deliver the Sowwah Square/Abu Dhabi Financial Centre, a 460,000 m² mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi. The project faced a large, globally dispersed team, massive document volumes and tight deadlines, and relied on hard copies, FTP and commercial email—creating inefficiency, uncertainty and risks of schedule delays and cost overruns.

By deploying Aconex’s secure central collaboration platform with workflow management, version control, electronic transmittals and a searchable audit trail, the team centralized access, distribution, tracking and archiving of all documents and correspondence. The result: 840 participants from 85 organizations managed 1.3 million documents (2 TB), generated 65,000 drawings, sent 5,000 correspondence items, completed 180,000 workflow steps, cut review and approval cycles by 20% and saved US$554,000 in printing costs.
