A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Odebrecht, in a design-build joint venture with FCC, used Aconex to fast-track the US$1.8 billion Panama Metro Line 2 — adding 21 km of elevated track, 16 stations and a depot to Panama City’s transit system. The project faced an aggressive 44‑month delivery schedule, a rigorous procurement process requiring RFI tracking, hundreds of participants across many organizations, and inefficient manual document control that slowed revisions and distribution.
Using Aconex for project-wide collaboration, structured communications, RFI and transmittal controls, and Connected BIM, the team established a complete audit trail and centralized document management. The result was secure, single-point access to project information, immediate sharing of drawings and correspondence, one-click transmittal of revisions to the right teams, and improved transparency and accountability that helped keep the project on track.
