A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Obrainsa, a Peruvian contractor, managed a US$100 million expansion of Cayetano Heredia University in Lima—three complex projects including underground parking, a nursing building and a research facility—while also delivering a separate parking concession in Miraflores. The projects involved a 215-person team from 15 organizations and posed significant challenges around complex medical/research design requirements, large volumes of documents, efficient distribution, and BIM-based design collaboration.
Obrainsa adopted the Aconex platform with Connected BIM and cloud document storage to share and update 3D models, manage multidimensional BIM data, and enforce controlled, auditable communications. This enabled timely distribution of more than 300 documents per project per month, faster review and approvals, reduced data-loss risk and IT costs, and ultimately improved project delivery and higher-quality built assets.
