JAPEX manages massive LNG project on Aconex

JAPEX used Oracle Aconex to manage construction of its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Shinchi Town, Japan — a US$500 million program that includes a cargo berth, a massive storage tank and a 40 km pipeline linking Soma Port to the Niigata‑Sendai Pipeline. The project faced a compressed three‑year schedule, complex high‑visibility scope, stringent earthquake and tsunami protection requirements, a geographically dispersed team and the need to process documents, correspondence and workflows in Japanese.

JAPEX implemented Aconex with full Japanese‑language collaboration, strong local support, secure cloud‑based document control and workflow management to align processes across partners.
