Grocon PCL Helps Deliver A$1billion Cancer Centre on Time and Budget with Aconex

Grocon PCL was the builder in the Plenary Health consortium delivering the A$1 billion Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne. The public–private project faced stringent healthcare and PPP reporting and accreditation requirements, tight workflow and deadline management, strict as‑built/change approval processes, and outdated defect‑management tools.

Grocon implemented Oracle Aconex to provide cloud‑based, mobile field inspections, configurable RFI workflows with alerts, automated mail approvals and monthly reporting. The solution captured 54,462 field issues, created an audit trail, saved A$778,000 in reporting time and labor (with a projected A$950,500 savings in management reports), expedited issue resolution, and helped deliver the centre on time and on budget.
