Grocon goes carbon neutral with Aconex

Grocon used Oracle Aconex to deliver the Pixel Building in Melbourne, Australia — the nation’s first carbon‑neutral office aiming for six‑star Green Star and top LEED/BREEAM ratings. The four‑storey project, featuring a rooftop garden, solar panels, wind turbines and a grey‑water system, faced high visibility and strict carbon‑reduction targets, plus a large, multi‑organization team and a need to manage vast document volumes with minimal paper.

The project deployed Aconex’s secure web collaboration platform to manage all information and processes electronically, with version control, a single system for correspondence, and a permanent audit trail. This enabled effective cross‑organization collaboration, reduced travel and face‑to‑face meetings in favor of online reviews, cut printing and paper use, and helped manage risk to support the project’s successful carbon‑neutral delivery.
