Graham builds two hospitals in one with Aconex

GRAHAM delivered the North Island Hospitals Project, a US$488 million public‑private partnership to design and build two linked hospitals on Vancouver Island (a 153‑bed Comox Valley site and a 95‑bed Campbell River site) treated as one hospital across two sites 43 km apart. The program involved more than 500 staff from 100 organizations, large volumes of document versions and workflows, and strict PPP and LEED Gold compliance and stakeholder visibility requirements.

By deploying Oracle Aconex for project‑wide collaboration, document control, workflows and a searchable audit trail, GRAHAM reduced tender solicitation cycles by 90% (from one day to under an hour for 32 tender packages and 202 invitations), cut RFI turnaround time by 50% (saving about C$60,000/year in administration), and used Aconex Field to lower defect logging/distribution time by 80–85% (from 15 minutes to 2 minutes), while providing the reporting and visibility needed for P3 compliance.
