A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Oracle Aconex supported the City of Greater Geelong’s $34.8M Geelong Library & Heritage Centre project, a high-profile nine‑story civic development funded by municipal, state and federal grants. The project was the city’s largest to date, involving more than 330 people from over 100 organizations, strict grant and timeline requirements, complex design and construction elements, and an aggressive schedule targeting completion in late 2015.
Using Aconex for pre‑construction information and process management, the team implemented project‑wide online collaboration for tendering, document control and workflows, plus mobile field inspections with photo attachments and a complete audit trail. The platform delivered broad user adoption, instant access to current and prior documents, smoother coordination of complex design work, and improved efficiency and risk control across the project.
