Drake & Scull standardizes on Aconex for all MENA projects

Drake & Scull International (DSI), a tier‑one Dubai‑based contractor operating across the Middle East and North Africa in sectors from general contracting to rail, oil & gas and water, standardized on Aconex to address operational challenges. DSI’s project teams were geographically dispersed and relying on legacy tools such as email, spreadsheets and basic file‑sharing, leading to slow, paper‑heavy approval cycles and a need for enterprise‑level security and data integrity.

Under an enterprise subscription, DSI rolled out the Aconex platform for document and correspondence workflows, Aconex Connected BIM for design–construction collaboration, Aconex Field for mobile inspections, and Aconex Smart Manuals for digital O&M handover. The single, standardized system eliminated redundancy and data‑loss risk, met security requirements, scaled across project lifecycles, and cut document approval cycles and information‑retrieval costs—“We have reduced document approval cycles and information retrieval costs,” said Ahmad Al Naser, Managing Director, DSI Engineering.
