A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Cook Engineering (now part of WSP Canada) used Oracle Aconex to manage the US$2.8 billion Rocanville Potash Mine Expansion in Saskatchewan, a complex project that required sinking a new shaft nearly a kilometre underground. The work involved a large, multi-organization team with strict regulatory requirements, tight schedules and financial pressure to hand the project over to operations on time.
Using Aconex’s central, web-based platform for drawings, documents and correspondence gave the team a neutral, collaborative place to store, exchange and automate document control with real-time access and versioning. The result was improved efficiency and faster document access, reduced risk of lost or deleted files, a permanent audit trail to mitigate disputes, and greater accountability and transparency across the project team.
