The project faced coordination challenges from a dispersed team across the U.K. and the Middle East, project data scattered across individual PCs, Outlook attachment size limits that delayed large file transfers, and inconsistent document control protocols that increased error risk.
Using Oracle Aconex, all project information was moved onto a single, user-friendly shared platform with instantaneous access, reliable document retrieval and proof of issue/receipt. The system supported 270 team members from 40 organizations managing up to 40,000 documents and communications per month, cut printing/postage/courier costs by US$45,000, enabled management reporting to track RFIs and site instructions, and provided a complete audit trail that improved individual and team accountability.
