Preview of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation Case Study

China State Construction saves over US$1M on safety records and improves safety by 15%

China State Construction Third Engineering Bureau deployed Oracle on the US$2.8 billion Multan–Peshawar Motorway (part of the China‑Pakistan Economic Corridor) to manage a complex, cross‑organizational highway project. The team needed project‑wide access and version control for documents, drawings and BIM, secure data handling, streamlined review and approval cycles, and fast, accurate status reporting to reduce dispute risk.

Using Oracle’s centralized document management, BIM collaboration and configurable workflows, the bureau gained anytime/anywhere access, improved data flow, reduced paper, and greater visibility and control across the project lifecycle. Outcomes included estimated savings of US$320,000 on design reviews, US$360,000 on RFI management, US$1.2 million on safety records with a 15% safety improvement, and contingency reduction from 10% to 6% through better schedule adherence and budget accuracy.
