Alsace Connected on Fiber with Aconex

Rosace, the consortium delivering Alsace’s Very High Speed Network, managed a €512 million rollout to bring fiber to 370,000 homes and lay 13,000 km of cable across 750 rural communities in just six years. With up to 500 workers on site at peak, dozens of subcontractors and varied trades, the project faced tight schedules and high delivery risk that required tight control of processes and documents.

By configuring the Aconex platform over five months and implementing territory-aligned document codification, harmonized formats and numerous simple workflows, the team cut approval delays and enabled regular workflow monitoring. The result: delivery-risk status moved from critical to controlled (saving €40,000/day), document management costs fell by €600,000 (equivalent to 2 FTEs over five years), and response times improved by about 25% (15 vs. 20 days).
