A Oracle Aconex Case Study

Preview of the Turner & Townsend Case Study

Airport development stays on course with Aconex

Oracle Aconex supported the delivery of King Shaka International Airport, a US$644 million consortium-led aviation project in Durban built for the 2010 Football World Cup. The complex program—featuring a runway, a 102,000 m² terminal, parking, cargo facilities and control tower—involved daily exchanges of large volumes of documents and correspondence among consortium members, subcontractors and vendors, with an immovable deadline and high risk if project status wasn’t tightly tracked.

Aconex provided a single, central collaboration platform with a structured framework, automated review-and-approval workflows, and secure tracking and archiving of all documents and communications. As a result the project met its schedule, achieved faster document review and approvals, improved team efficiency and productivity, and maintained a complete audit trail to prevent information conflicts.
