A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Oracle Aconex supported the US$53 million renovation of the National Library of New Zealand in Wellington, which included a new roof and plaza, plant and system upgrades, optimized research spaces and new controlled-atmosphere rooms (CARs) to protect priceless collections. The project faced major scope changes for the CARs and needed to ensure collection care and security, manage change without delaying the schedule, track status to mitigate risk, and share information in real time across multiple organizations.
Using a neutral, cloud-based Aconex platform for single-source collaboration, the team centralized documents and correspondence and automated review and approval workflows. As a result, the project adapted quickly to scope changes, staff had instant access to needed information, communication bottlenecks were exposed immediately, and a clear audit trail supported financial tracking and public accountability.
