A Oracle Aconex Case Study
Oracle Aconex supported the delivery of the New Zealand Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, a US$10 million, 2,000 m² project delivered amid the largest Expo in history. The team faced a tight, immovable schedule and a highly distributed workforce — architects and engineers in Christchurch, contractors and consultants in Shanghai, and owners and managers in Wellington — requiring an easily accessible archive and efficient, accurate document-management processes to keep the project on track.
Aconex provided a single online collaboration platform to access, distribute, track and archive project documents in real time, with automated review/approval workflows and a secure audit trail of every version and transaction. The result was faster, more productive delivery with minimal risk of outdated drawings, less time spent managing releases and approvals, and reduced paper use and material costs.
