Aconex gets oil terminal project flowing

Oracle Aconex supported the US$150 million Helios oil storage terminal project on Jurong Island, Singapore, which includes 18 production tanks. The team needed to control downstream communications with global suppliers and subcontractors, coordinate closely with the owner's project management team, handle large volumes of tendering and procurement information, and ensure everyone worked from the latest document versions.

Using Aconex’s online, project-wide collaboration platform — a single central system with real-time, cross‑geography data sharing and automated workflows — the project sped up reviews and approvals and cut paper transmittals. More than 400 users from 70 organizations managed over 70,000 documents and correspondence items, reducing the need for document controllers and boosting overall productivity.
