Quick And Easy Procurement Of Complex Product Groups

OBB, Austria’s largest mobility services provider, needed to centralize and automate procurement across a complex landscape of about 40,000 employees, 10,000 suppliers, 650,000 articles, roughly 2,500 contracts and more than 750 product groups. To reduce bureaucracy and simplify ordering—especially for complex product sets like workwear with 30 categories, sizes and colors—OBB engaged OpusCapita to deliver its web‑based Online Product Catalog (OPC).

OpusCapita implemented the OPC as a single procurement platform, giving all employees consistent access, dynamic search and menu-driven ordering, system-based workwear ordering with role-based permissions, automated multistage approvals, automatic signing and direct transmission to suppliers plus SAP integration and one‑click goods receipt. As a result, OpusCapita’s solution sped up order fulfillment, removed authorization bottlenecks and significantly reduced costs while streamlining procurement across the 10,000 suppliers and 650,000 articles.
