Quality And Knowledge of The Business Are Essential

NorgesGruppen, Norway’s largest retailer, processes roughly 180,000 invoices monthly across more than 1,300 companies and faces the challenge of handling widely varying supplier formats—about 73% arrive as EDI but nearly a quarter still come on paper. To manage this mix and maintain high data quality, NorgesGruppen uses OpusCapita’s scanning service (based in Mo i Rana) to capture paper invoices and feed interpreted data into its invoice flow system.

OpusCapita scans about 50,000 paper invoices a month, mapping supplier-specific templates and delivering images and parsed data into NorgesGruppen’s workflow during the day. Working together they implemented a GLN lookup table and template-driven capture that has produced considerably fewer scanning errors, faster routing to accounts and centralized, fully digitized invoice processing; the long-standing OpusCapita partnership (since 2007) has delivered clear efficiency gains, cost savings and a streamlined invoice flow.
