Altia Plc, a leading wine and spirits company in the Nordic and Baltic markets, faced a critical messaging challenge: its process chain handles hundreds of thousands of messages every month and must run without interruption for major customers such as state-owned retail monopoly purchasers. Ahead of a major SAP rollout, Altia needed a centralised EDI messaging solution to integrate smoothly with SAP and chosen OpusCapita as the EDI operator and B2B integration provider.
OpusCapita implemented a managed EDI/B2B integration service, monitoring message flows and synchronising SAP transactions with Altia’s partners, including e-invoicing to state purchasers. The deployment reduced order errors and delivery disruptions, largely eliminated manual faxes and phone orders, and delivered time, resource and cost savings; new EDI connections can be set up in as little as two days and OpusCapita’s SLAs have been met in almost all cases over the past five months, improving planning and stabilising supplier relationships.
