Invoice Automation Accelerates Digitalization At Etola

Etola Group, a Finnish family-owned industrial products and supplies company (≈€400M turnover, 1,500 staff), faced a slow, manual purchase‑invoice process—about 300,000 purchase invoices annually, half of which arrive at Etra. To accelerate digitalization and automate approvals, Etola partnered with OpusCapita and adopted OpusCapita’s purchase invoice recycling system, EDI connections and OpusCapita Payments, along with OpusCapita’s digitizing service for paper and PDF invoices.

OpusCapita implemented electronic invoicing, EDI integration and invoice digitization so invoices are matched to ERP purchase orders and automatically approved when they match, while scanned paper/PDF invoices enter the same electronic workflow. The solution cut manual processing, freed staff to handle orders and customer service, improved responsiveness and contributed to increased turnover; today most suppliers send invoices electronically and Etola processes its large invoice volume through the streamlined OpusCapita-managed system.
