EK Servicegroup, one of Europe’s largest multi-branch cooperative groups with about 4,100 independent trading companies and €2.2 billion in turnover, faced an inefficient and costly process for producing 30 print catalogues annually (5,800 pages, 18,000 illustrations) and struggled to manage roughly 10,000 product images. To solve this, EK engaged OpusCapita and its Product Information Management (PIM) solution.

OpusCapita implemented its PIM to structure image labelling and storage, define roles and access rights, automate photo ordering and approvals, and enable cross‑media publishing with ERP checks before print and handoff to partner SDZeCOM. The OpusCapita PIM now guarantees unique product–image assignment across EK’s ~10,000 illustrations, streamlines production of the 30 yearly catalogues, automates photo workflows, and enforces project‑specific pricing checks—significantly improving efficiency and reducing manual handling.
