Vegfinans, a regional toll‑collection group in Eastern Norway, faced a rising invoicing challenge—almost 2.4 million invoices expected in 2015—with only about 14% of customers receiving electronic invoices and a heavy reliance on paper processes. OpusCapita, Vegfinans’s long‑term invoicing partner since 2000, won a new contract in 2014 to provide invoice distribution and electronic payment solutions to help scale digital channels and introduce direct debit.
Under the new contract OpusCapita expanded electronic invoice distribution and helped implement a direct debit system; Vegfinans expects up to 20% of customers to adopt direct debit and aims to shift a much larger share of the 2.4 million invoices to electronic delivery. OpusCapita’s solution is projected to lower costs, speed delivery, reduce incorrect payments and payment reminders, and improve cash flow and overall administrative efficiency.
