Audi AG faced the challenge of managing extremely large, complex accessories and parts information across markets and systems—requiring country-specific variations (e.g., right-hand drive), multiple product assignments, and transfers into different formats and ERP systems. To solve this, Audi engaged OpusCapita and adopted its PIM solution (Product Information Manager) to centralize product knowledge and control access via an integrated authorization system.

OpusCapita implemented a PIM with a Workflow Engine and graded authorization management, complemented by a DAM (Digital Asset Manager) and automated rule-based checks, plus data exchange to SAP/other ERPs and industry formats like TecDoc. As a result, data is published worldwide in 18 languages, processing time for product data gathering was drastically reduced, error frequency fell, and Audi now sees significantly fewer complaints and returns thanks to more reliable, up-to-date product information.
