Centralized data management with OpusCapita PIM

Schlemmer, a Munich‑based technology group with about 3,000 employees and a product portfolio of over 10,000 standard articles plus 50,000 customer‑specific applications, needed a central platform to manage increasingly complex product information across development, marketing, purchasing and other divisions. After evaluating seven PIM systems, Schlemmer chose OpusCapita’s Product Information Manager (PIM) — together with the OpusCapita Online Product Catalog (OPC) — to compile, edit and provide product data for internal and external channels.

OpusCapita implemented the PIM connected to Schlemmer’s ERP and PDM systems and established a central master data management hub to consolidate documents, 3D drawings, images and product attributes. The OpusCapita solution has sped up and streamlined product‑information preparation, improved data quality and consistency, earned positive user feedback from staff, and enables rollout to customers via the OpusCapita OPC and a planned webshop.
