This complexity required a specialized optimization solution, which led them to partner with vendor Optym and its RouteMax product.

Optym implemented a special optimization mode within RouteMax to route SEFL's final mile delivery trucks. The solution incorporated operational constraints and planner inputs, such as specific equipment types and a maximum number of stops. As a result, SEFL better serviced customers while meeting all their needs. The Chief Information Officer reported positive results across their service centers, with planners creating more efficient routes in less time.
