Optum deployed onsite, dedicated eligibility and enrollment teams that worked alongside Goshen staff to proactively identify and enroll patients in Medicaid, freeing internal teams to focus on patient care. Over a 10‑year relationship, Optum helped secure acceptance of more than 25,000 accounts (representing over 15,000 patients), obtain approvals for more than $934 million in gross charges at a 96% approval rate, and materially reduce uncompensated care and bad debt while improving patient satisfaction.
