Global 200 Airline Company worked with Optiv to address the security challenges of moving airline operations and data into the cloud. As a global airline operating in a highly competitive, highly regulated industry, the company needed to lower costs and improve service while protecting cloud-accessible data from malicious actors and maintaining strong governance over logs, identity, and perimeter security.

Optiv implemented AWS cloud services and strengthened the airline’s cloud security program by consolidating logging into QRadar SIEM, applying least-privilege IAM policies and permissions boundaries, and improving perimeter security practices for AWS ingress and egress. Optiv also reviewed and refined the client’s control framework, mapped controls to CIS and NIST, and proposed automated remediation.
