Optiv Enables Fortune 50 Health Insurance Provider to Strengthen their Cloud Security Program

Optiv helped a Fortune 50 Health Insurance Company address the security challenges of moving sensitive healthcare data and workloads to the cloud. As the customer expanded its AWS environment, it needed stronger controls, better access management, and a more secure path to modernization while maintaining HIPAA-related requirements.

Optiv restructured the customer’s AWS organizational units and IAM strategy, provided CloudFormation templates, and supported data migration with AWS Snowball and Snowball Edge. The team also built and maintained a custom Amazon Machine Image builder and assisted with Splunk log ingestion and security guardrails. As a result, the customer improved AWS account management, strengthened security, reduced costs and downtime during migration, and centralized IAM management for better long-term control.
