A Optiv Case Study
Global Online Retailer, a global e-commerce company, was struggling with slow application performance when searching consumer information, with queries taking 10–15 seconds. The retailer wanted to improve speed and usability without fully redeveloping its application infrastructure, and turned to Optiv for help.
Optiv migrated the retailer’s legacy data into Elasticsearch and built a standalone REST service with a new API that matched the existing application signature, allowing searches to be redirected without disrupting the current UX/UI. The result was a dramatic performance gain, cutting average search times from more than 10 seconds to less than a second and greatly improving productivity and user experience.
