Medical School Partners with Optiv to Improve Cybersecurity and Identity Management Program

Leading Medical Research School partnered with Optiv to strengthen its cybersecurity and identity access program. The school supports patient care, research, and education across six colleges, a 700-bed medical center, and more than 20,000 internal users, but needed help maturing a limited IAM strategy while protecting endpoints, email, and access to 1,000 applications.

Optiv led an IAM strategy workshop and then recommended and implemented FireEye Managed Defense, Proofpoint, and Netskope to secure endpoints, harden email, and improve cloud visibility. The result was 99% endpoint malware detection improvement, 10 million malicious emails intercepted, and successful management of over 1,000 user access applications.
